If you have a tedious task then you can use Power Automate

If you want powerful ways to automate repetitive, tedious business processes, then Microsoft Power Automate can help. We share some tidbits of advice on the challenges and advantages of using Power Automate how this works from our Microsoft Power Automate webinar.

Use Power Automate to help with these Tedious Tasks

If you have a tedious Paper-based data entry system, this can help. The biggest example comes from when I worked in the mortgage industry. It’s amazing how much the industry changed over the last decade.

It used to be you would meet a borrower in person for a loan, and have them fill out the entire 30-page application in pen and paper while you were there for 2-3 hours.

Then you’d go back to the office and transcribe the data onto your computer, and also scan the application, so it could be emailed. Once this was done, you could check out their credit. Afterward, you might have to go back to them and ask them to explain any black marks on the credit report.

Many banks like Bank of America, Citi, Chase, Guaranteed Rate created easy-to-share digital forms that simplify this process without needing a mortgage broker to come to your home.

You go online, fill out the information and it all goes straight into their system. Underwriting can automatically access this data to start reviewing the file. It makes the process a lot faster and more convenient.

You don’t have to be Bank of America or Citi though to create these types of forms. You could do this with Power Automate along with the systems that we’re going to show you. In fact, the application we discuss in the demo shows you how to create some of those forms for internal use, and then how to use that to automate that process.
